MOSCOW, Jul 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s second biggest lender VTB Bank is still studying assets of Vozrozhdenie Bank for a possible acquisition, CEO Andrei Kostin told reporters on Thursday.
“There are new circumstances of a legal character there. (The deal) can be closed only when there are clean, legally good documents. We are currently studying what’s going on there,” Kostin said.
“Lawyers are dealing with it, until it is not clear if the assets are clean or not, there will certainly be no deal. If the assets are cleared and there is confirmation that all legal issues have been solved, the deal will probably take place.”
